Brief Description of qualifications and experience:
I qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 2011 and have completed additional post
graduate training to become a Sensory Integration Practitioner. I am currently working
towards my Advanced Practitioner qualification and have recently completed additional
training in postural management for adults and children with complex disabilities. I have
worked with people of all ages and have extensive experience working in the NHS to a Band
7 level, on acute hospital wards, in clinics and Accident and Emergency. As part of an NHS
role, I was the therapy lead responsible for managing a community physical rehabilitation
unit. After graduating, I spent a summer volunteering in a Romanian orphanage for children
with complex needs, which was an eye-opening experience! I have worked for Creative
Neuro Rehab as an associate since 2015 and have worked exclusively for the company since
2020, more recently becoming the Team Lead. I have experience working in client’s homes,
schools, inpatient settings and in the community.

What made you want to be an OT and/or what do you love about your job?
As soon as I learnt about Occupational Therapy as a profession whilst I was at school, I knew
it was what I wanted to do. I appreciated the holistic approach of OT and I aspired to enable
people to live their life to the fullest by achieving what is meaningful to them and what they
are passionate about. I enjoy the diversity of the role and the individuals that I am able to
work with. I also relish the opportunity to be creative and inventive when problem solving
and providing treatment for my clients.
