This summer we’re offering a range of support services for children and young people at our new clinic in Bromsgrove — practical, useful OT delivered by a friendly, highly skilled team, with no long waiting lists and free onsite parking.

Mini OT Assessment — £250
This summer we’re providing mini OT assessments for children and adolescents. It’s the starting point for all our summer services — a focused, cost-effective screen that gives you real information and a clear next step.
What we screen for
- ✓ Sensory needs
- ✓ Fine motor skills — e.g. cutlery, shoelaces, handwriting
- ✓ Gross motor skills — e.g. ball skills, balance
- ✓ Feeding skills
- ✓ Daily living skills — e.g. washing, dressing, toileting and sleep hygiene
What’s included
- ✓ 1 hour of direct contact with 2 Occupational Therapists — one gathering information with parent/caregiver, one working directly with your child
- ✓ 1-page summary report
- ✓ 1 programme provided for most prevalent need
- ✓ Recommendations for intervention pathways — 1:1 direct work, group sessions, or further signposting
Therapy Groups — August 2026
We’re running two specialist groups this summer. Sessions run on 10th, 11th, 17th, 18th, 24th and 25th August 2026, with at least two specialist OTs present per session. All group participants must have completed a mini assessment first.
Motor Skills Group · Ages 6–10 · £450
A small group supporting children to develop functional motor skills for everyday activities at home, school and play. Children set their own goals — therapists guide problem-solving rather than simply instructing.
The group draws on Cognitive Orientation to Occupational Performance (CO-OP), Motor Learning principles, and Occupational Performance Coaching. Sensory processing differences are actively considered and accommodated.
For children

Feeding Therapy Group · Ages 4–8 · £750
A small group for children with restricted eating patterns, using a play-based, child-led approach. There is no pressure to eat — the focus is on gradual, comfortable interaction with food. Informed by the Eating as Learning Framework, SOS Approach principles, and Sensory Integration approaches.
For children

Parents are expected to remain on-site during sessions. An initial online education session, brief check-ins before/after each session, and a final review session are included.
£750 · 6 group sessions + 2 parent education sessions1:1 Summer Treatment Block
For children and teens who need individual support — dressing, sleep, balance, ball skills, toileting, using cutlery, and more. Available to existing and new clients, following a mini assessment screening.
Each session is 45 minutes of direct work with a qualified Occupational Therapist, followed by a brief session summary via email. Sessions are built around goals identified through the mini assessment process.

A mini assessment is not a replacement for a full Occupational Therapy (OT) assessment. It is a screening and signposting service designed to identify needs and provide practical advice in a timely and cost-effective manner.
For children with more complex or multiple needs, a full assessment may still be recommended. If a full assessment proceeds, the cost of the mini assessment will be deducted from the total cost. Full assessments are priced at £1,175.00 (excluding travel and mileage).
Where it is clear from the referral information that a full assessment is required, this will be recommended instead of a mini assessment. Creative OT reserves the right not to offer a mini assessment in such cases. Please note that a full assessment is always required where a report is needed for an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
If a full assessment is recommended following a mini assessment, there may be a delay before it can be carried out due to therapist availability.
All assessments include recommendations. Families or funders are under no obligation to proceed with OT services following these recommendations, and Creative OT is not obligated to provide ongoing therapy. Decisions regarding ongoing provision will take into account therapist availability and waiting lists.
Creative OT operates with a team of therapists. Where ongoing therapy is provided, there is no guarantee that the therapist delivering treatment will be the same therapist who carried out the initial assessment.
