Marie Taylor
Marie qualified with a BSc in Occupational Therapy in 1998. Although she has worked with adults, her main experience is with children. She spent 23 years as an NHS Advanced Occupational Therapist (Band 7) in Warwickshire’s Integrated Disability Team for children aged 0–19, managing a diverse caseload with a variety of difficulties.
She is a trained Bobath Therapist with experience working with children with complex neurological needs and equipment needs. Marie is currently completing her Ayres Sensory Integration Training.
Marie maintains a high level of professional development and clinical supervision, and joined Creative OT in December 2023.
I wanted to work with children and adults with disabilities to promote their independence and participation in life. I wanted to help people become the best they can be, help them feel good about themselves and help them participate in the activities and occupations that make them who they are. When I explained this to a careers advisor she sent me off to investigate OT!
