Since qualifying, she has gained broad experience across the NHS, charity sector and private healthcare, working in a wide variety of settings including mental health, eating disorders and paediatrics.
Lucy has completed ADOS-2 training and is currently undertaking a course focused on ADHD and women. She is also planning to begin her Sensory Integration qualification, reflecting her commitment to continuing professional development and expanding her specialist skills.
Lucy works with both adults and children, with a particular interest in neurodiversity, sensory processing and SEN, and values a creative, person-centred approach to support each individual’s unique needs and goals.
I first became aware of occupational therapy when my grandmother was supported by an OT who introduced aids and adaptations to help her remain independent at home. Witnessing the positive difference this made to her confidence, sense of purpose, and overall wellbeing had a lasting impact on me. As I learned more about the breadth and scope of the profession and the meaningful difference it can make across all stages of life, I knew this was the career for me. I value the variety that occupational therapy offers, as well as the opportunity to think creatively and tailor support to each individual’s unique needs and goals.
