Brief Description of qualifications and experience:
I qualified in May 2023 having completed the BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy
degree at Worcester University. During my studies, I experienced a wide range of
placements both within the NHS and private healthcare sector, including stroke,
neuropsychiatry, dementia, and community paediatrics. Before qualifying as an OT, I
worked in a therapeutic role alongside my studies to enhance my experience within
this clinical area. Since, I have had experience of working with clients in their home,
at school and in the community. In September of this year, I begin additional post-
graduate training to work towards my Sensory Integration qualification.
What made you want to be an OT and/or what do you love about your job?
I have always loved the idea of caring for others, but it wasn’t until I experienced
first-hand the role of an Occupational Therapist, that made me fall in love with the
career. It was here that I saw the amazing care that an OT provided and since then I
have aspired to help others achieve their fullest potential and promote
independence, confidence and a sense of purpose – ‘turning the impossible into
possible’. I feel very fortunate to have a job as rewarding as mine.
