Balvir Kaur
Balvir began her career as a qualified Occupational Therapist in 2005, working in acute settings across various clinical areas including trauma and orthopaedics, elderly care, respiratory, cardiology and vascular surgery. She has managed complex conditions including fractured neck of femurs and provided care for military personnel with complex polytrauma.
In social services, she supported young people and adults with physical disabilities â managing rehabilitation, aids and equipment needs including major adaptations and Disabled Facilities Grant applications. She has played a key role in neurological rehabilitation, particularly with ABI, TBI, strokes and chronic neurological disorders.
Balvir has experience as a practice educator and OT expert witness, preparing medico-legal reports and supporting junior colleagues.
As an Occupational Therapist, I am creative, enthusiastic, passionate and dedicated to providing a robust and transparent service. I possess excellent communication and literacy skills, with extensive experience in multidisciplinary settings. I have a keen interest in Eastern Philosophy to improve mindfulness and personal well-being, which informs my holistic approach.
