Anna Barnett
Anna qualified with a 1st Class (Hons) degree in Occupational Therapy from Brunel University London. She has worked in community, school and clinical settings across NHS, independent and charity sectors.
Her work includes children and young people with physical health conditions (brain injury, muscular and genetic conditions), neurodiversity (Autism, ADHD, DCD/Dyspraxia) and social and emotional mental health needs. She has postgraduate training in Sensory Integration (modules 1 & 2), DIR Floortime and the SOS Approach to Feeding.
Anna set up a successful horticulture therapy intervention in a special school and works as a Feeding Therapist at The Feeding Trust charity, supporting children and young people with paediatric feeding disorder as part of a multidisciplinary team.
The most enjoyable part is being able to get to know the people I am working with and exploring what is meaningful to them — this way, therapy is always personalised. No day is the same; I can be supporting a child and their family with feeding challenges on one day, and the next day coordinating a gardening group! Being an OT is something I am very proud of.
